Product Description
The operating principle of a single-screw compressoris ingeniously achieved through a pair of intermeshing helical rotors, known as the male and female rotors. These rotors are equipped with multiple concave teeth and rotate gracefully in opposite directions. The precision in engineering allows only a minuscule gap of 5 to 10 microns between the rotors and the casing. The primary rotor, often referred to as the male rotor, is powered by an engine or electric motor, while the secondary rotor, or female rotor, operates seamlessly, driven by an oil film created by oil injection or synchronized gears. This meticulous design ensures no metal-to-metal contact occurs during the operation process. As the rotors engage, gas fills the grooves at the intake, and as they continue to rotate, the casing's walls seal these grooves, forming a secure compression chamber. In this chamber, lubricating oil is introduced, performing the essential functions of sealing, cooling, and lubricating. As the cycle progresses, the rotors' rotation causes the compression chamber's volume to decrease, effectively compressing the gas into an oil-gas mix, which is then expelled through the exhaust port, completing the efficient cycle of intake, compression, and exhaust.
