The space between the rotors and the casing is an incredibly tight 5 to 10 microns, ensuring seamless operation. The main rotor, or male rotor, is typically powered by an engine or electric motor, while its counterpart, the female rotor, is driven by a delicate oil film or synchronized gears, safeguarding against any metal-to-metal contact during the drive process. As the rotor grooves pass the intake port, they are filled with gas. With the rotors' graceful rotation, the grooves are sealed by the casing wall, forming a compression chamber. Here, lubricating oil is introduced to seal, cool, and lubricate, crafting an oil-gas symphony. As the rotors continue their rotation, the compression chamber's volume diminishes, expertly compressing the gas into an oil-gas mixture, which is elegantly expelled through the exhaust port, completing a flawless cycle of intake, compression, and exhaust.
