Product Description


The operating principle of a single-screw compressoris ingeniously executed through a pair of intermeshing helical rotors, aptly named the male and female rotors. These rotors boast several precisely crafted concave teeth and rotate in opposite directions. The gap between the rotors and between the casing and the rotors is a mere 5 to 10 microns, ensuring seamless operation. The main or male rotor is typically powered by an engine or electric motor, whereas the female rotor is cleverly driven by an oil film produced through oil injection or synced gears, eliminating any metal-to-metal contact during the process. As the rotors interact, the rotor grooves capture gas as they pass by the intake port. As rotation ensues, the casing wall seals off the rotor grooves, creating a compression chamber. Here, lubricating oil is injected, fulfilling roles of sealing, cooling, and lubrication. With continued rotation, the compression chamber's volume diminishes, compressing the gas into an oil-gas mixture, which is then expelled via the exhaust port, culminating in a full cycle of intake, compression, and exhaust.
