These rotors boast an array of concave teeth and rotate in opposite directions with precision. The gap between each rotor and the casing is a mere 5 to 10 microns, ensuring tight operation. The main rotor, or male rotor, is typically powered by an engine or electric motor, while the female rotor smoothly coasts along an oil film created by oil injection or synchronized gears, eliminating metal-to-metal contact. During operation, gas fills the rotor grooves upon passing the intake port. As rotation continues, these grooves are sealed by the casing wall to form a compression chamber. To enhance functionality, lubricating oil is injected, which serves to seal, cool, and lubricate. The rotating action gradually reduces the volume of the compression chamber, compressing the gas into an oil-gas mix, which is then expelled through the exhaust port, completing the cycle of intake, compression, and exhaust with seamless efficiency.
