The gap between these rotors, as well as the casing, is meticulously maintained at a microscopic 5 to 10 microns. Typically, the main rotor (or male rotor) draws its power from an engine or electric motor, while the secondary (female rotor) is elegantly driven by an oil film, thanks to oil injection or expertly synchronized gears, ensuring seamless metal-free operation. As the rotors whirl into motion, the grooves eagerly embrace the incoming gas at the intake port. Progressing through their cycle, these rotor grooves become enveloped by the casing wall, forming a perfect compression chamber. At this juncture, lubricating oil is precisely injected, playing a pivotal role in sealing, cooling, and lubricating the system. As the rotors persist in their rotation, the chamber's volume diminishes, skillfully compressing the gas into an oil-gas fusion that exits triumphantly through the exhaust port, completing the elegant sequence of intake-compression-exhaust.
