These intricately designed rotors boast multiple concave teeth, rotating in opposing directions with precision. The rotor and casing gap, a mere 5 to 10 microns, underscores the sophistication of this technology. The male rotor, the powerhouse, is typically propelled by an engine or an electric motor. Its counterpart, the female rotor, gracefully rotates in unison, driven by an oil film via oil injection or synchronized gears, ensuring a seamless drive devoid of metal contact. During operation, rotor grooves capture gas as they pass the intake port. As they spin, these grooves are sealed by the casing wall, forming a compression chamber where lubricating oil is injected. This serves to seal, cool, and lubricate the system. As rotation continues, the chamber's volume diminishes, compressing the gas into an oil-gas mélange, which is finally expelled through the exhaust port, orchestrating a complete cycle of intake, compression, and exhaust.
